Scarcity Is a Liar in High Heels

financial strategies Mar 08, 2026

There was a time, in the beginning, I underpriced myself because I didn’t want to “lose the customer.”

I told myself:
What if they can’t afford it?
What if they walk?
What if I price myself out?

Scarcity dressed up as humility.

But scarcity is fear wearing perfume.

With a Scarcity Mindset, we name the enemy clearly: the belief that there is not enough.

Not enough money.
Not enough opportunity.
Not enough room for you.

Here is the truth:

There is enough. But not if you price yourself like you don’t believe it.

Real Numbers Don’t Support Fear

When I finally reviewed my customer data, I realized:

  • My best customers valued my products and services.
  • My highest-paying offers required the least chasing.
  • The clients who negotiated the hardest were the least profitable.

Scarcity had me defending territory that wasn’t even valuable.

Female Leadership Reality

Many women are conditioned to “not be too much.”
Not too expensive.
Not too bold.
Not too confident.

But you cannot fortify a future on self-doubt.
